Toy donations and cash donations given to Helena Toys for Tots are used to provide toys to local children at Christmas and throughout the year as special projects (check out your Helena Toys for Tots in the news here). We work directly with families in need, and partner with several local organizations to provide toys to the children they serve.
We provide toys to children ages 0-17 (18 if they are still attending high school and living with the parent/guardian). Qualification is based on financial need. Examples of those who might need a little help include, but are not limited to:

• Families receiving public assistance (Medicaid/WIC/TANF, etc.) or receiving services from a local social service agency
• Military families (active, retired, or veteran)
• Families that have recently lost a job
• Families struggling financially due to medical bills, increased housing costs, etc.
• Families that have lost income due to being separated/divorced/widowed
• Families with foster children in their home
• Families caring for the children of incarcerated, incapacitated, deployed, or deceased family members
